Some gifts touch a moment. Others touch generations.
In the Concord area, a warm Jewish community is taking root and growing: Shabbat tables filled with song, children discovering their heritage, seniors visited and remembered, holidays celebrated with joy. None of it happens by itself. It happens because people like you care.
A legacy gift is a way to keep that caring going, so that long into the future every Jew in the Concord area will have a place to call home.
What is a legacy gift?
A legacy gift (also called a planned gift) is a gift you arrange today that is given later, most often through your will, or by naming Chabad of Concord as a beneficiary of an account or policy. It is one of the most meaningful gifts a person can make, and one of the simplest:
- It costs nothing during your lifetime.
- You can change or update it at any time.
- Any amount makes a difference. You do not need to be wealthy to leave a legacy.
- It provides for your family first, and lets you share what remains with the community you love.
Simple ways to leave a legacy
A gift in your will. Ask your attorney to include Chabad of Concord in your will or living trust. You can leave a specific dollar amount, a particular asset, or a percentage of what remains after your family is provided for.
A beneficiary designation. Name Chabad of Concord as a beneficiary of a retirement account, a life insurance policy, or a bank or investment account. Your plan administrator or financial institution can provide the form, and you can update it whenever you wish.
Something else in mind? Every situation is different. If you would like to explore another way of giving, we would be honored to talk it through with you.
Planned gifts can involve financial and tax considerations. We cannot offer legal or financial advice, so please review your plans with your attorney or financial advisor.
