Every holiday at Chabad of Concord is a chance to come together, whether it is your first time or your fortieth. Everyone is welcome, no matter your background or how much you know. Here is a taste of how we celebrate through the year.
High Holidays
Each year on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur we gather for inspiring services with meaning and melody, with English explanations along the way, and the sound of the shofar. Every seat is open to all. Before the holidays, kids and families build their very own shofar at our Shofar Factory.
Sukkot
Each year we build a sukkah, share a community dinner under its roof, and offer kosher lulav and etrog sets so every family can do the mitzvah. Our Sukkah Mobile, a sukkah on a truck, brings the holiday straight to your home.
Simchat Torah
Each year we dance with the Torah with hakafot, singing, a buffet dinner and l'chaim, and the children join in the joy.
Chanukah

Each year we light a giant public menorah for the whole community, with songs and festive music, and we have celebrated in Clayton as well. Neighbors of every background stand together as the lights go on. See our past pictures from the menorah lightings, or visit our Chanukah page for this year's details.

Purim
Each year we gather to hear the Megillah read aloud, followed by a festive Purim dinner, with hamantashen, mishloach manot and fun for all ages.
Passover
Each year we open our doors for a warm, meaningful Passover Seder with gourmet Passover cuisine. Before the holiday, families bake their own matzah at our Model Matzah Bakery, and we close the holiday together with a festive Pesach finale dinner.
Lag Baomer
Each year we celebrate with a community barbecue, with music, marshmallows, cotton candy and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Free admission.
Shavuot
Each year we gather to hear the Ten Commandments, followed by an ice cream party and dairy buffet that kids and adults both love. All are welcome.
Join us. Dates and times change every year. See what is coming up on our Upcoming Events page, join our email list to get this year's dates, or call us at 925-326-1613. We would love to celebrate with you.
